RF Switching Matrix

EPX Microwave introduces customized electromechanical switch matrix systems. These bi-directional matrix systems operate from DC to up to 18 GHz and can be configured with up to 2 inputs and up to 18 outputs. Control can be accomplished through traditional RS232, RS485, or GPIB (IEEE488) interfaces. A LCD front panel display indicates status and a keypad allows manual control. Units are housed in a low-profile (7 inch high, 4U) chassis for 19 inch wide X 20 inch deep racks.

The EPX Microwave Switch Matrix is powered by standard AC voltages from 85 to 264 VAC (47 to 63 Hz) at 350 Watts maximum depending on switch configuration. Operating temperature range is 0 to +60 deg C and the matrix is rated for an operating life of one million cycles in a cold switching application.

RF performance varies with frequency range. In the maximum 2 X 18 configuration, the matrix will have a maximum VSWR of 1.8:1 to 18 GHz and an insertion loss of 3 dB maximum.
